PONTIAN, 26 FEBRUARY - Salam Desa 3.0 Programme organised by the Sekretariat Sukarelawan dan Teknologi Hijau (SUKTEK) is a programme aimed at producing students who love volunteerism by inculcating their dedication to the community of Kampung Sungai Bunyi, Mukim Rimba Terjun, Pontian. In addition, this program can provide opportunities for students of Kolej Tan Sri Aishah Ghani who are interested in gaining experience in community programs to participate in volunteer activities. The programme was successfully held for 3 days, and 2 nights dated 24, 25 & 26 February 2023 at Kampung Sungai Bunyi, Mukim Rimba Terjun, Pontian.

This program is one of the efforts of the College Representative Council of Kolej Tan Sri Aishah Ghani to inculcate the properties of assisting the students of Kolej Tan Sri Aishah Ghani as well as respecting the environment through mangrove swamp planting activities. In turn, identify the potential among students to communicate with the external community.

Through this programme, students can experience the real situation of community life in the village as well as create a close bond with the residents through the activities that have been held. The programme began with the Opening Ceremony and Handover of Adopted Families on 24 February 2023 which was presented by the head of Mukim Rimba Terjun which was Encik Mohd Hisyam Bin Mohd Mazlan. Through the practical concept of the foster family, the students can add to the experience by experiencing life living in the village as well as strengthening the ukhuwah with the community of Kampung Sungai Bunyi. The second day on 25 February 2023 started with the Zumba Aerobic Exercise activity led by Ariff Aiman bin Ayob to be healthy and boost the spirit of the next activity. The programme continued with gotong-royong which was divided into three groups, namely the rewang group, the dodol cooking group and the mural drawing group. Through this activity, students can gain new knowledge and experience as well as draw a beautiful memory with the community. In the evening, the TownHall activity was held to provide an opportunity for the villagers and students to have a friendly conversation and ask questions to Yang Berhormat Senator Dato' Hj. Jefridin bin Hj. Atan, (ADUN KUKUP). Next, the programme continued with the Johor Cultural Night which presented a performance of silat and braid horses from the villagers of Sungai Bunyi as well as Inang performances from some of the students of Kolej Tan Sri Aishah Ghani. Through this activity, students can get to know the culture and dance of the state of Johor as an additional knowledge. On the last day, the programme ended with the Closing Ceremony of Salam Desa 3.0 and the Launching of Mangrove Swamp Tree Planting officiated by Yang Berhormat Senator Dato' Hj. Jefridin bin Hj.Atan and also attended by Yang Berbahagia Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia and Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Shukri Muhammad Noor, Principal of Kolej Tan Sri Aishah Ghani. This activity is one of the initiatives to conserve the mangrove swamp area at the planting site of the northeastern base, Teluk Kerang.
